The Results and betting.
Hi Ernie,
I would like some advice on how to bet on your daily selections. I know it's hard because there are a lot of selections, I myself prefer betting on Grade-A selections. If you can help me a little, please reply soon.
Regards,
K
Hello K,
There really isn't an 'answer' to this one as such.
Having said that, you must remember that the horses which are suggested each day under the ratings are 'selections' and that is different to saying 'here are today's betting material'. There are plenty of races across the day, and whilst the bookies have to bet on each race, you don't have to. For example, if the odds are very short, just pass the selection over and wait for a better option. This should reduce your choice.
After that, it depends on your daily budget, how you bet (singles, doubles, accumulators), and when you bet.
By sticking with the A Grades you are making a sensible decision as these are the strongest picks, but if you still want to look at the B & C selections then please do so, but maybe stick with trainers in 'hot' recent form, and follow them when their horses are doing well, and stay clear when they are not winning.
I I had to point to two things to help you sift out losers, I would say that trainer form as mentioned and recent horse form/outing are the two which should help.
After that it's down to you!
Good luck with your betting, and if you are on Facebook, why not drop by and join in the chat?
Regards,
Ernie
